CA Association Requests Extension for Tax Audit and ITR Deadlines
The Chartered Accountants Association has formally asked the government to extend the filing deadlines for tax audits, Form 10B/10BB and income tax returns for assessment year 2026-27. The request aligns with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs' recent AOC-4 filing updates for One Person Companies, which set a new deadline and highlight the need for additional time to comply with the revised schedule.
The CA Association has lodged a petition for longer due dates on key compliance items:
- Tax audit filing deadline
- Form 10B/10BB submission
- ITR filing for AY 2026‑27
The move comes as the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) rolled out a major AOC‑4 filing update for One Person Companies (OPCs), establishing a new deadline that many firms find challenging. The association argues that extending these dates will give taxpayers and professionals adequate time to adjust to the new requirements.
