India Faces US Labour Probe
India will appear in public hearings by US investigators on July 8 to address allegations of forced labour, following two separate Section 301 investigations launched by the USTR against 60 countries, including India, on March 11 and 12, 2026, the investigations were initiated due to charges related to forced labour, the US Trade Representative had launched these investigations to determine whether the countries are adequately enforcing their labour laws and protecting workers' rights
