India Updates EPF Rules and Bonus Payments Amid Economic Shifts
India's Ministry of Labour has activated statutory bonus provisions under the Wage Code, while the EPF Scheme 2026 now permits a three‑month reduction in employee and employer contributions during emergencies. In addition, EPFO is launching WhatsApp and UMANG app services that let members check UAN, balance, passbook and claim status directly from their phones.
