How long does the full annual filing cycle take?

Five to seven months from financial year-end. Form 11 typically takes four to six weeks between drafting and filing in April-May. Form 8 needs a longer runway because books closure and (where applicable) tax audit run between June and September before the Statement of Account can be signed and filed before 30 October.

Can a single designated partner sign Form 11 or Form 8?

Form 11 needs the DSC of one designated partner; Form 8 needs both designated partner DSCs plus a CA, CS, or CMA signature where the certification threshold applies. If you have only one designated partner, the LLP is non-compliant — the LLP Act requires at least two designated partners, and one of them must be a resident of India.
