Virtual document review and consultation with qualified Indian advocates or CAs โ pre-call review, video session, written notes, one follow-up round.
You have a contract on your desk, a notice from a regulator, or a court paper that arrived this morning โ and you need a qualified opinion before you sign, reply, or act. Not a five-minute opinion from a friend who knows a lawyer. Not a Google search at midnight. An actual, prepared, written-down opinion from someone enrolled at the Bar Council or registered with ICAI, who has read your papers before getting on the call with you.
That is what a Virtual Document Review & Consultation is built for. You send the documents in advance, the practitioner reads them, and the video call is used for advice, options, and decisions โ not for the practitioner to skim your file while you watch. You walk away with written notes, identified risks, and a clear next step.
The way Indians get legal and tax advice has shifted sharply in the last two years. A few procedural and statutory updates change what a good virtual consultation now covers.
There is no mystery to the process. Every step has a defined output, and the fee covers the whole flow โ not just the minutes on the call.
You choose a 30, 60, or 90-minute slot through the booking form. Documents โ contract, deed, notice, court paper, supporting correspondence โ are uploaded through a secure portal. A short written description of your questions and the decision points you want addressed goes with them.
Your matter is reviewed and assigned to an advocate, a Chartered Accountant, or both โ depending on the subject. Advocates cover litigation, contracts, family, criminal, and civil matters; CAs cover income tax, GST, audit, and financial advisory; both are assigned for cross-domain matters like M&A, NRI property sales, or transactions with tax and legal sides.
Before the call, the practitioner reads the papers, marks key clauses and risk areas, and prepares the points to walk through with you. This is typically 30 to 60 minutes of preparation, included in the fee. The call begins with the practitioner already knowing your facts.
The session runs on Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams for the slot length booked. The practitioner walks through the document, the options available to you, recommended next steps, and the specific questions you raised. The session is not recorded by default; if you want a recording for your files, ask in advance and the setup is done.
Within two working days of the call, a written summary is emailed to you. It captures the advice given, the risks identified, the clauses to watch, and the recommended next step. This is the document you forward to a co-founder, CFO, family member, or board โ and the one you reread weeks later when memory has faded.
One round of follow-up clarifications by email is included in the fee. Use it to ask the meaning of a clause, confirm a number, or check whether a draft reply you have written matches the advice given on the call.
If the consultation reveals that you need drafting, registration, court representation, or a multi-month project, a clear scope and quote is issued separately. There is no high-pressure conversion and no surprise billing โ the consultation stands on its own and the engagement decision is yours.
An NRI based in Dubai held inherited residential property in Bengaluru. A buyer offered โน3.6 crore. The seller wanted to know how much would actually reach his NRO account, what TDS the buyer would deduct, and whether the lower-deduction certificate route was worth pursuing.
The seller decided to apply for the Form 13 lower-deduction certificate. That single decision freed up close to โน38 lakh in working capital during the transaction, against a consultation fee that was a small fraction of that figure.
The notes are written to be useful well beyond the call itself.
The consultation fee buys preparation, advice, and follow-through โ not just the minutes on the call. The pre-call review and the written notes are where most of the value sits.
The shortest path is to book a slot and upload your documents the same day. Pick 30, 60, or 90 minutes based on how complex the matter is โ a single contract usually fits in 30 to 60 minutes; a regulator notice with linked documents and a strategy decision usually needs 60 to 90. The booking form asks for a short description of the matter and the questions you want covered.
Once the slot is booked, you receive the upload link and the engagement letter. The practitioner is assigned within one working day, and the pre-call review begins. You join the call at the scheduled time. The written notes follow within two working days, and your one round of email follow-up stays open for a week after that. If the matter calls for full engagement, the scope and quote are shared separately โ there is no obligation to move to engagement, and the consultation stands on its own.
Your documents are read in advance โ typically 30 to 60 minutes of practitioner time โ so the call is spent on advice, not on background reading.
Sessions are run by Bar Council-enrolled advocates or ICAI-registered Chartered Accountants โ not paralegals, juniors, or generic consultants.
A post-call written summary captures the advice, the risks, and the recommended next step โ actionable and easy to share with stakeholders.
Time-zone-flexible scheduling, a secure document portal, PoA-based follow-up engagement, and foreign currency payment with FIRC support.
Where you have already received advice elsewhere, you get an independent and confidential review of whether that advice fits your facts.
If the consultation reveals the need for drafting, registration, or litigation, a separate scope and quote is shared โ no high-pressure sales.
You book a 30, 60, or 90-minute slot and upload documents and questions through a secure portal on the same day.
Within one working day, the matter is reviewed and assigned to the right advocate, CA, or both depending on the subject.
The assigned practitioner reads the papers, marks key clauses and risks, and prepares the discussion points before the call.
Session runs on Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams for the slot length booked โ advice, options, and recommended next steps.
Within two working days of the call, written notes summarising advice, risks, and next steps are emailed to you.
One round of clarification questions by email is included, open for a week after the notes are delivered.
Where drafting, registration, or litigation is required, a separate written scope and quote is shared for your decision.
Professional assistance with no hidden charges. Clear milestones and honest communication.
The contract, deed, notice, court paper, or agreement to be reviewed, shared as PDFs, scans, or soft copies through the secure upload portal.
Context covering the parties involved, relevant dates, the dispute or decision driver, and any prior advice or correspondence on the matter.
A short written list of the questions you want answered and the decision points where you need a qualified view before acting.
Identity verification for the engagement letter, including KYC where applicable, and a signed confidentiality undertaking.
Related documents โ earlier drafts, prior correspondence, expert reports, financials, or regulator filings โ where they touch the matter.
