We start by mapping your process to the CPCB's updated sectoral classification. The right category depends on raw materials, products, fuel, water consumption, effluent generation, air emissions, and solid waste โ not just the industry name on your GST certificate.
We then audit your documents: layout, process flow, mass balance, ETP / STP / APC design, stack heights, and hazardous storage. Gaps get flagged and fixed before filing rather than after a query letter arrives.
Filing happens on the State SPCB's online portal โ MPCB MoEFCC integration, KSPCB Parivesh, DPCC Online Consent Management, GPCB XGN, and so on. We attach layout, project description, design drawings, supporting NOCs, and pay fees online.
Fee structure depends on the gross fixed assets (excluding land), with separate slabs for Water Act and Air Act consents. We compute and challan it correctly the first time.
SPCB regional officers typically raise one or two rounds of queries โ on ETP design, ambient air monitoring, fuel choice, or green belt percentage. We respond with technical clarifications, drawing revisions, and undertakings.
A site visit happens for Red and most Orange category cases. The CFE is then issued with conditions. We walk you through every condition so nothing surprises you at CFO stage.
Construction proceeds in line with CFE conditions. Effluent Treatment Plant, Sewage Treatment Plant, Air Pollution Control devices, stack, online monitoring sensors, and hazardous waste storage shed are built and commissioned.

CFO is filed after trial production. SPCB schedules a site inspection, takes samples of treated effluent and stack emissions, and verifies the build against the CFE.
Where parameters meet norms, CFO is issued with operating conditions, monitoring frequency, and reporting obligations. Where any parameter is off, a short corrective period is given before re-sampling.
CEMS and CEQMS data flows continuously to SPCB and CPCB. Monthly returns, half-yearly Environmental Statements (Form V) for Red and Orange units, and hazardous waste manifests are filed on time.
Renewal is filed 120 days before CFO expiry. A delayed renewal application is treated as operations without consent โ the same as not having a CFO at all.
